About

Missional and the way of Jesus are the concerns here, not politics, whether Calvin or Arminius was correct, are spiritual gifts for today, and other such topics. Other Blogs do a good job of covering these matters. Such issues are not where my heart is (I’m not saying they are not important). I would much rather be out helping someone in need (physical or spiritual) than debate theological and political minutia. A. W. Tozer said it pretty well:
God will not hold us responsible to understand the mysteries of election, predestination and the divine sovereignty. The best and safest way to deal with these truths is to raise our eyes to God and in deepest reverence say, ‘Oh Lord Thou knowest.’ Those things belong to the deep and mysterious Profound of God’s omniscience. Prying into them may make theologians, but it will never make saints.
Posting Comments: I really appreciate those who take the time to post an insight, rebuttal, or other comment. Just let the principle of 1 Peter 3:1 be your guide:
…always being prepared to make a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you; yet do it with gentleness and respect, having a good conscience, so that, when you are slandered, those who revile your good behavior in Christ may be put to shame (1 Peter 3:15-16, ESV).

“But who are you?” they keep asking. Answer: Just a poor old blind beggar who keeps needing to call out, “Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!”
